Our capabilities
IDPH Research Group delivers evidence-based public health intelligence, strategy, and programme design that is built from the ground up for Muslim-majority, Arabic-speaking populations across the MENA and GCC regions.
Our team are native Arabic speakers, internationally-trained public health professionals and clinical specialists, who understand both the traditional healthcare systems and the MENA cultural landscape from the inside. We do not adapt Western models. We design from the cultural, religious, and governance realities of the societies we serve.

TURNING ROUTINE DATA INTO DECISIONS
Most health systems generate vast amounts of routine data, including surveillance records, facility reports and administrative datasets that sit largely inert. We apply advanced epidemiological modelling, predictive analytics and intelligence synthesis to transform this existing data into actionable insight, enabling governments and health agencies to act faster, allocate resources more effectively, and respond to threats before they escalate.
-
THE HUMAN STORY BEHIND THE DATA
Some of the most important health intelligence cannot be captured in a dataset. We operate in the qualitative domain, embedding with communities and working alongside local researchers to apply ethnographic and anthropological methods that surface the beliefs, behaviours and lived experiences driving health outcomes. We research with communities, not on them, producing insight that no routine data system can replicate.
-
POLICY, PROGRAMMES AND SYSTEMS BUILT TO LAST
We provide end-to-end strategic advisory across the full public health cycle, from needs assessment and policy design through to programme implementation and evaluation. Our approach is consultative rather than prescriptive. We work alongside our clients, embedding MEL throughout to ensure every recommendation is grounded in evidence, adapted to context, and built for sustained impact beyond our engagement.
-
WE INVEST IN PEOPLE, NOT JUST PROGRAMMES
Sustainable public health improvement depends on local ownership. We build the skills, systems and institutional knowledge that allow governments, health teams and communities to generate their own intelligence and lead their own responses. Our training programmes are field-tested and context-specific, designed to leave lasting capability rather than dependency on external expertise.
-
COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH FOR SHARED IMPACT
The most complex public health challenges require collaboration across disciplines, borders and institutions. We partner with universities, research institutes, government agencies and civil society to design and deliver joint research programmes, knowledge exchange initiatives and co-produced evidence that bridges the gap between academic rigour and real-world public health decision-making.
